Requesting a non EU permit : regularization process

Are you a citizen of a non-EU country and considering applying for a residence and work permit? Attention! Applying for a work permit can be risky, even with your employer’s support!

Thanks to a cantonal procedure called “Post-papyrus,” individuals who meet specific criteria can submit an application, but it is essential to be well informed before starting the process. Several factors must be analyzed, such as your family situation, the number of years you’ve lived in Geneva, and your professional and financial circumstances, among others.

Once the application is submitted, there is no turning back. If it is rejected, you risk being expelled from Switzerland.

Don’t take unnecessary risks: contact a specialist in immigration law at CCSI (call on Monday from 1pm at 022 304 48 60 to make an appointment for an assessment), or consult a legal service within the network (CSP, Caritas, SIT). Don’t hesitate to contact an association — information is often free of charge.
