Requesting a non-EU permit – caution!
Are you a citizen from a country that is not a member of the European Union? Are you thinking of requesting a work permit? Beware, as it can be very risky to request a work permit, even if you have your employer’s support. Procedures are long and complicated and (apart from highly qualified positions), the success rate is very low. If your permit request is rejected, you can be deported from Switzerland. We strongly advise you to contact an immigration law specialist (at CCSI, CSP, Caritas, SIT, etc.) before starting a procedure to request a permit. These services are generally free in non-profit organizations, and it is wise not to take unnecessary risks: contact us!
